Remember the Troops!!!

Welcome one and all!!

I'm Nya Rayne and this is my world.

I am a paranormal and futristic romance writer. All of my stories err on the side of romance with a good helping of erotica, and then a dash more of romance. So, yeah, I like it haut!! I've been writing professionally for a little over 10 years, but wrote my first story at the tender age of 15. It amounted to nothing, but was so much fun to write that I kept doing it.

Anyway that's enough about me, the reason you and I are here is to, for the next 3 days, celebrate our men and women in uniform, who tirelessly protect our rights from foes near and far.

These men and women leave their families and friends to go thousands of miles away from home, so that you and I can still enjoy the freedoms we have come to know and love.  I'm sure we all know someone who fights, have fought, and who have died in the name of freedom.

In my own family alone, there are several veterans, myself included.  My uncle served in the Navy for over 25 years, sailing from coast to coast and shore to shore.

My first cousin served over 10 years as a Marine Sgt., at home and overseas.

And my brother and myself, both served in the Army.  He was stationed on the west coast and I was stationed in the East.

I also have several friends, who are members of the Air Force.

To show my appreciation to these soldiers, not a night goes by that I don't send out a prayer for them.  I have also, in the past, sent anonymous gift bags overseas and I'm a pen pal to several women and a few men.  So I ask you, who do you know that's a member of the military?  What have you done recently and in the past to show your appreciation?

Contest Time!!

I want you to take a moment to think about the questions I asked above and then tell me your story.  It doesn't have to be dramatic or indepth, just tell me what branch your friend/family is a part of and how you've--in the past--shown your appreciation.  If you haven't yet, tell me how you will in the future.

Whatever it is, I want to hear about it.

So, comment, join my blog if you haven't already, friend me on facebook (www.facebook.com/nyarayne), and follow me on twitter (@nyarayne) and you'll have a chance to win, not one but a copy of both of my novels!

She loved him from the moment she saw him, but he was never hers to
love.
In a world where men are an endangered species, available only to the ruling class, and the majority of women date androids, the last thing Phia Zen wants is to buy her lover from a catalogue. Imagine her surprise when she receives her purchase, Donté, and discovers he’s a living, breathing man. Problem is he truly belongs to the most powerful woman in the world, and she’ll stop at nothing to get him back.

For the love of a real man, how much will Phia sacrifice? Her family? Her freedom? Her very life and the life of the only man she’s ever loved?

Now Available
Sometimes the very thing you've ran from all your life is the only thing that can save you.

A street-wise hustler, Stormy has been running most of her life from the creature that killed her family. However, when she meets Fury, a being so stubborn he could give a mule lessons, running is no longer an option. When he claims he’s her protector and the other half of her soul, Stormy would rather take her chances with the beast chasing her.

His dogged determination to protect her and his seductive expertise spark to life dreams she’d all but given up on: dreams of belonging to a family, and of having a life where running is nothing more than exercise. But with vile creatures hunting her, demanding her blood, and pack members who want her head instead of her help, Stormy will have to find away to place her trust and heart in Fury’s care. If she can’t, then neither of them will have a future to dream about.

Okay, so that's it for me, not on to your next stop ==>

Erotic Romance Madness Hop

Up Coming Events

Welcome one and all to Nya Rayne's world. Fasten your seat belts, grab a wet nap, and e-n-j-o-y the ride!! Which will last from the 10th - 14th of May, don't worry you can space it out.

First, a little about me:

I am a paranormal and futristic romance writer. All of my stories err on the side of romance with a good helping of erotica, and then a dash more of romance. So, yeah, I like it haut!! I've been writing professionally for a little over 10 years, but wrote my first story at the tender age of 15. It amounted to nothing, but was so much fun to write that I kept doing it. Anyway that's enough about me, you're here to hear about my most deliciously favorite erotic novel aren't you?

Well, this little peace of Heaven's slice held me captive from the very first word to the last.  And even now--months after reading it--I still find myself thinking about it from time to time.

The Wiccan Haus: A Man Worth Fighting For
He has nothing left to offer. She's determined to show him just how much he's worth.

Shot by a member of his own team, Justin Lawson retreats to Wiccan Haus. Holly Walters refuses to accept her boyfriend’s out-of-the-blue rejection without an explanation, even if getting the answers forces her to be trapped on a bizarre island for an entire week. She’s going to use every minute to work Justin out of her system once and for all. Justin’s body and spirit begin to heal under Holly’s loving

ministrations. As she talks about never seeing each other again, he realizes he never wants to let her go. But The Rogue Assassin who had gone after Justin before is after him again. Before he can fight to make Holly believe in their love, he’ll have to fight for both their lives.

Excerpt:

“How did you hurt your knee?” Holly asked.

“Occupational hazard,” Justin muttered.

That wasn’t very comforting, considering he was in the military and always going off on missions that he couldn’t give her any details about. “Did you fall and break it?”

“Bullet shattered it.” His words were clipped.

She flinched, wanting desperately to reach for him, hating to think of the pain he’d been in, the pain she’d known nothing about. “And how long before or after this happened did you send me an eight word break-up text?”

“About seventy-two hours after.”

She immediately knew she’d been right not to take his text at face value. The self-destruction of a client and the week of lost work were worth it. She’d needed this explanation. More than that, it proved there was still hope for them. “So you conceivably could have still been under the effects of anesthesia.”

“I wasn’t.”

“But you were on pain medication for sure.”

“Don’t make excuses for me. I was an ass. I broke up with you, and you deserve better.”

For His Love

She loved him from the moment she saw him, but he was never hers to love.

Excerpt:

Dr. Lobush called up another transparent keyboard, punched in a code, and as the glass swam from black to pellucid Phia’s heart skipped a beat, and then two. A large man was standing on the other side of the glass, his body naked as the day he was born. Curly brown locks draped his head, falling down to his shoulders and partially covering the right side of his face. He had wide, thick, shoulders, wrapped in hard, muscles which rippled down arms that ended in powerful, large hands. His chest had an X-shaped scar running across it, each arm of the X running from one shoulder down and around to the fourth or fifth rib on the other side. His blue gaze was trained on her, his full lips set in a thin line of what could only be described as bemusement.

Dr. Lobush gasped and ran for the door. She slapped her palm against the print pad and pushed through the door before stepping into the room which appeared no different than the healers’ examination rooms Phia had been in over the years. There was an examination table, medical monitors and jars filled with blue, green and violet substances. The walls were painted an opaque white and had a soft multi-colored bordering that wrapped around the top portions of each wall closest to the ceiling.

Phia brought her hands up to cover her mouth as she watched him step back away from the doctor as if he were nothing more than a beaten dog. This was definitely not the time or the place, but she found her eyes drifting down to his thick, limp cock. She shook her head and stepped toward the door as if invisible hands were pushing her forward. Ocean blue eyes turned on her as she crossed the threshold a few feet behind the doctor. Phia stopped dead in her tracks, as if frozen by his gaze. The room stilled. She could hear the erratic beeps and hums of the various machines, could feel the cool air brushing across the fine hairs on her arms, but neither caught her attention and held it as he did.

“Donté, calm down. You have to lie back down,” the doctor urged while patting the table next to her.

He stepped back, his brows knitted together as his large hands tugged at the hair at his temples. He gritted his teeth, buried his fingers deeper into his hair, and doubled over.

“Donté.” Dr. Lobush tried again, her hands in front of her, palms held out at him, “You’re still recovering. I need you to lie back down.”

He looked past Dr. Lobush to Phia. His eyes silently pleading for help, but she remained where she was, too afraid to make a move in either direction.

He shook his head, shoved one hand out at the doctor to keep her at bay, and yanked at the right side of his head with his free hand. He pulled angrily at his hair as if trying to dislodge something buried deep within his skull. He stumbled back against the wall before dropping to his knees, an unfathomable moan of agony escaping him.

Phia stepped forward, knowing she couldn’t do a thing for him, but desperately needing to do something or say something.

“What’s wrong with it? Why is it hurting? Can you do something to help it?”

“His body hasn’t fully healed yet.” Dr. Lobush dropped to her knees in front of him. She pulled a syringe from the pocket of the white lab coat she wore. “I don’t know why he woke up. He should have slept for another few days.” She sighed as she plunged the tip of the syringe into his arm. “But I suppose there’s a first time for everything.”

As he relaxed forward, his head falling into her lap, Dr. Lobush ran her hands through his hair as if he were her lover. Phia couldn’t explain the surge of jealousy roaring through her. She clenched her fists and gritted her teeth to regain control of her unwelcome emotions. “How many credits for him?”

Thursday, May 3, 2012

Boy I tell you what, a month is not a long time.  I have no clue where the time went.  Okay that's a lie.  Let's see during the month of april my sister got married, edits for "For His Love" were front and center, marketing "Storm's Fury" was a close second, my second job was fast becoming my primary job, and I started the third Book of the Anubi Series, "Treyce".

So yeah, I've had one hell of a month.  I even missed a few blog hops that I wanted to take part in and an interview or two, which isn't good.  Like I have a calendar for my salon, I think I'm going to have to get a calendar for this as well.  I swear, I never thought that trying to become a well known author was so time consuming.  I actually, at one time, thought that it was something that just happened.

Okay moving one, because I'm actually stealing this time from "Treyce", "For His Love" is not available through musa publishing!!!  And as promised, I have an excerpt for you all, but first the ungodly blurb:

In a world where men are an endangered species, available only to the ruling class, and the majority of women date androids, the last thing Phia Zen wants is to buy her lover from a catalogue. Imagine her surprise when she receives her purchase, Donté, and discovers he’s a living, breathing man. Problem is he truly belongs to the most powerful woman in the world, and she’ll stop at nothing to get him back.

For the love of a real man, how much will Phia sacrifice? Her family? Her freedom? Her very life and the life of the only man she’s ever loved?

Excerpt:

“Good evening, Donté.”

She stared at him, and he had to wonder exactly what she was looking for. She had to have known once he had found favor, she could not touch him in that way ever again. “Good evening,” he finally replied.

She stepped closer to him, her breasts brushing against his bare chest. “I wanted to congratulate you on your wonderful luck. I hear your goddess is most desirable.”

“I wouldn’t know,” he bit out in a tone he had never used with any of his instructors before. He took a small step back away from her.

Her head tilted to one side and for an instant, he saw the look he’d seen numerous times on her face just before she chained him to the wall of her private classroom and tried to beat him into submission.

“If I had known you were going to be chosen, I would have made sure to schedule one last lesson with you,” she admitted brashly.

He could feel the eyes of the other nurturers trained on him as he took another step back away from her.

She covered the distance and continued, her hands gripping her hips, “There is still so much I need to teach you.” She eyed him from head to foot and back, devouring him. She bit down on her lower lip in a gesture that Xavier figured was meant to look sexy. It set his nerves on edge.

Xavier glanced away from her and around at the other occupants of the room. “I have learned all I need to learn from you,” he said as he stepped back again, his back bumping up against the cold steel of his hanger that housed all he owned in the world.

She grinned. Her breasts, flattened against his bare chest, felt like warm soft pillows begging to be plumped. If she weren’t such a sadist, the thought might have appealed to him. Her cool hands moved up his arms and over his shoulders.

Xavier shot a look at Savior and Kail for help, but all he saw staring back at him was regret and helplessness. They could not intercede. If he had not found favor, she would have been allowed to do this to him in the presence of others, because she was his instructor. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as her hand slipped down to his waist and into the elastic band of his white, loose-fitting cotton pants. He froze as her hand cupped his balls, her nails digging into the tender skin.

He hissed and closed his eyes as he grabbed her hand. “Stop,” he growled. His anger surged to the forefront and it took every ounce of will he had in him to keep it in check. He was too damn close. “I’ve found favor! You can’t do this!”

Xavier knew he couldn’t hit her or push her away. He could never put his hands on any female in such a manner. It went against everything he’d been taught and bred for, but this once, he wanted to pound a woman into the ground at his feet. His free hand clenched and released as he bit down hard on his lower lip and tried to suppress the hatred he felt for her and the violence he wanted to inflict on her. He couldn’t and wouldn’t allow her to throw his gift away.
She laughed in his face.
